'Robot' touted as one of the biggest films from the subcontinent, is a science-fiction flick starring Rajinikanth and Aishwaya Rai . The film is directed by Shankar. The shooting for the film commences abroad in U.S.A. from the 7th of September. As is the vogue in Tamilnadu now, Tamil-titled movies enjoy the privilege of tax exemption. Therefore the English title 'Robot' has now been changed to 'Eanthiram'.

It was also rumored earlier in Kollywood that the renowned writer Sujatha who passed away in the last February and was also working for 'Robot', had only suggested this apt Tamil title for the flick. 'Eanthiram' is loosely based on Sujatha's novels 'En Iniya Eanthira' and 'Jeano'.

Ayngaran-Eros international are producing 'Eanthiram'. Pyramind Saimira and Raj Kamal International are coming up with 'Marma Yogi' starring Kamal Haasan. These films are expected to compete with each other especially because both these films are considered to be the costliest films to be made in India.

Indeed a clash of titans!
